It flurried this morning. It was a perfect day to stay inside close to a crackling fire, doing nothing in particular. So that's just what I did. A dear friend called me this morning and we chatted for quite a while - catching up on our respective moves and our new lives and reminiscing a little about our lives as they were just a few months ago. I pulled out a few Christmas decorations and decorated the mantle and kitchen table and hung a nostalgic decoration on the kitchen wall - we're in the process of redoing the living room floor so I'm not ready to put up a tree yet. I played with the pups. Brigitte and I snuggled up in the bed for a nap. We baked an apple pie and put a pan of lasagna in the oven. We've watched a little college football and have just enjoyed a lazy day. Life just doesn't get much better than this!

Blessings from the creek y'all!

Apple pie and lasagna?! Yummmmm

It snowed here, too. I had to drive my husband home from the hospital on snow-covered roads. What is normally a 45 minute drive took about an hour and 30 minutes. I was grateful to be home!

Sounds like you had a wonderful, relaxing day.

Oh Liz, that's just the kind of day I desperately need. But I don't think I'll get one until it snows (which it doesn't do very often!) or until the holidays are over.

It's good to hear from you and I can't wait to see a bit of your decorations if you get a chance to share them whenever your floor is finished and your tree is up.

Hi LIz! I haven't forgotten you. Everything has been so busy and has gotten busier! Congrats on the job! Sounds like a great place to work. The puppies are so adorable...we are hoping to get a lab puppy in the next year maybe. I need to decide if I can take care of it 5 days a week without hubby.

Have a wonderful Christmas!!!!

Thinking of you this morning when I pulled out my "sewing kit" to mend a button. Hope all is well. Merry Christmas to you and yours. I know that this transition has been strange and wonderful for you...all at the same time. May you find our Father's peace and presence at every turn in this time. May all truly be "well" with your soul.
