A Journey Through Eden

Not too long ago I shared some pictures from our garden and of our neighbors "the Cranes". One particular comment I received from Elaine innocently asked me if I lived in Eden. We got quite a chuckle out of that comment. You see, we do live in Eden . . . more specifically a development called "New Eden on the Lakes". As Christians, we're supposed to teach others how to resist temptation. In my case, however, every time I give someone directions to my home, I'm leading them TO Temptation (Court that is). We've had a lot of fun with this over the years!

Yesterday Elaine from Peace for the Journey began a series called "The Promise of Eden: The posture of an expectant heart". I would ask that you visit Elaine and see what this wonderful woman of God has to say. I guarantee you it will not be a wasted trip.

I'm going to be AWOL for about a week. We're attempting once again to leave for Kentucky first thing tomorrow morning for the whole "great white hunter in search of elusive turkey and his spouse who plans to spend some time sitting by Goldens Creek reading a few good books and exploring our new territory trip" that has been postponed a few times over the past weeks. I'll be computerless while we're gone (gasp! the horror of it all). I'll miss you all greatly and plan on boring you to death with pictures of Kentucky scenery, our property and our dear little "adopted" house when we get back. I promise I'll spare you the turkey pictures - unless of course I can manage to "shoot" one with the camera!

Blessings!

Have a wonderful time in Kentucky. We will miss you. Can't wait to see your pictures and hear all about it.

I chuckled when I saw the street names. So, you live in Eden - is anyone there named Eve?

You may "Lead me into Temptation" any time!!! In more way than one!!! :)
I hope y'all have a wonderfully relaxing trip... and enjoy your new little cottage that I know you will make as warm and inviting as your little corner of Eden now.

This is really too much for me to take in at the moment. I'm beside myself with all the imagery and laughter! Oh...if only we could grasp that, in fact, we are promised Eden...a return trip ticket through the blood of the Calvary's surrender. I preached about it this weekend and will be leading us to consider such promise this week on my blog. Thanks for the plug!

Travel safe (why do we say that...like I would really say "throw caution to the wind..."?). How about...

Travel with God. Travel with his peace.

Can't wait to see some pics.

I know you have already gone, but I know that you will have a wonderful time in Kentucky! I look forward to your posts when you return...

Funny little story - you live in Eden....I spent the first 17 years of my life living in Hell. Seriously. I grew up in a little town called Hell in Michigan. It is about 35 miles from Ann Arbor and about 50 from Detroit...
Hugs,
Penny
